I used to think 4chan was the Mos Eisley of the internet. Now I just think the internet is the Mos Eisley of the internet.

I have zero clue what any of this is about. Can we have some context with a side of explanation, please?

There’s a bunch of tweets where he would speak in broken English or talk about their boyfriend from the women’s view so yeah just really diabolical stuff.

  18. Maybe I’m late to the party but Veilguard being mission based instead of open world is something I fuck with.

I need a break from open world games

Played no rest for the wicked for a few hours last night and here are my spoiler free thoughts:

    - a lot of the performance issues that people had seem to be patched - my computer is not all that powerful anymore and it was running fine and looked stunning with no real lags / performance set backs.
    - it needs a controller which to me defeats the idea of PC gaming but that may be me being pedantic. No key bindings and dodgy controls with K+M (so I've read). The game said 'get a controller for best experience so I did. Didn't even try the keys, I used my PS5 controller.
    - The character design is UGLY. it doesn't look bad once you start playing, but wow, was the creation screen jarring / hideous.
    - However, the art direction / style for the cut scenes is pretty cool.
    - Even with a controller, it's pretty darn hard to get the dodge / parry right, and there's a lot of mechanics I don't fully understand yet or know how what I prefer - like how fast you can doge / parry based on the gear you chose (IE a heavier build is less nimble). I don't play any souls like games and this is meant to be a souls like APRG so maybe that's a common mechanic. I wasn't dying a ton, but it definitely felt like I was not acing the combat either.
    - A pretty cliched beginning. Oh what a surprise, you're a passenger on a ship that no one wants to carry and wow, a shipwreck happens. It's very similar to the beginning of the Divinity games.
    - I do like the camera. For a fixed perspective isometric, it works very well and I had no issues trying to see my character or navigate the surroundings EXCEPT for:
    - The opening area is extremely confusing and it was not clear at all where to go. A lot of areas that looked accessible but weren't and a general 'where the hell do I go to continue making my way towards the quest marker?' feeling.

I really didn't get far at all but I'm excited to keep going. I'll play hades in short bursts and this as my games of the minute. I have a feeling that this will end up very special with gorgeous varied environments, exhilarating / hard to master combat, and I have high hopes for a very good epic fantasy story that isn't just background cheese.

I’ll read all of this later but I played all of it with KBM just fine with a couple of tweaks.
Glad they ironed out performance though. I’m waiting for a little more content before I put another 30 hours in. I love that little game.
