Player’s Log: Soulvars

Tonight I’m spending time becoming more familiar with the chain/combo combat system. I’m not far in the game only a few hours in, but already starting to grind to gain levels and new abilities for a boss battle I’m struggling with.

 

Player's Log: Boundless Trails.

Finished Act 3. Still quite a bit of game left, there's actually three more acts, a finale, an epilogue, and then all the New Game + content that gets added.

All the same, I'd love it if I could finish this game before 04/13, which is when I'm going to have a ten-day staycation from work, and I want to use that time to move on to other things.

That said, I'm not rushing it. I'm enjoying the experience. Even as I play though, my brain is trying to make connections between this game and the rest of the Trails series, and coming up empty.

I still need to start Infinite Wealth. But I’ve been getting the itch to replay New Vegas or Dragon Age

 

ive dipped my toes into so many games in the last few months and have seen very few to completion lol but i feel like with some of the games i am seeing a good amount of whats on offer to make me happy i bought it. like im halfway into kena, put about 10 hours in ghost recon wildlands, 15 hours into dd2, 30 hours into rebirth i need to just finish that up, got 5 hours into pillars of eternity 2 last week, im on chapter 3 of tactics ogre, im almost to the academy in my fresh elden ring run, i started a da inquisition run on my ps5 in december that i made some progress in, im probably 10 ish hours into prince of persia maybe less more like 6, a good few chapters into uncharted 2....the list goes on if i take the time to think about it. im probably halfway into xenoblade chronicles. over halfway done with omega ruby. etc. etc. and of course i just started mass effect yesterday. not to mention the rogues ive yet to get a winning run in. slay the spire, risk of rain 2, hades, dead cells i like to pick up and play every once in a while. balatro is one of the only games i can say ive 'finished' since ive actually got a winning run lol

 

and yet, for some reason, my brain is telling me i should either sub to wow, finally play final fantasy xiv, or play skyrim

 

oh yeah well I accidentally started Breath of Fire 3 yesterday lmao

 

oh god dont remind me of all the shit on the switch virtual consoles including the first two breath of fire games ive dipped into lol

 

Just finished Blockiza 3.

Well. That was a game. As par the series, the Yakuza stuff was gripping and kept my interest. The babysitter stuff though......yes it added to Kiryu and his character. It was nice I guess getting depth. But goddamn, the missions of chasing after the kids to the city, checking up on each and every kid around the house and beach, all the kid drama, I could have done without.

I'll be very interested to see how Kiwami 3 does stuff. I feel it's easy to keep the orphanage aspect and give the kids attention without some of those filler missions.

Onto Yakuza 4! God I'm scared now.

Something with lists or rankings would be ideal for some mindless watching, but I’m also looking for just some great content in general.

 

only gaming channel I follow that is more general content is The Completionist and FunWithGuru.

funwithguru is a waster eggs and gaming secrets channel so that’s pretty cool.
