Getting the PC version of RETURNAL because I want to see this perfect, beautiful game be even more beautiful

FF8 isn't really the best FF, but it was my first and I always love returning to it.

also love breaking the battle system immediately. fun times.

 

It's my favorite FF. It wasn't my first per se (FF7 and FFL2 were) but it was the first I actually clicked with. The music, the summons, Edea, Squall and Rinoa is an awesome romance. Triple Triad. I'm one of the few who liked the junction and draw system haha. And as you said breaking the game is fun. While I def see why people don't like it I think with a reworked battle system and doing away with junction/draw it could work out.

 

hm maybe if I broke the game right away I'd have more fun with it, it's the only FF I ever gave up on other than 3

 

LOLOL to see it on the same level as 3 both makes me laugh and hurts my soul.

 

8 is my first and I've only played og 7 and like 3/4 of 13

 

It took me a longggggggg time in my life to say I actually like FF8, but I do.

13 is the only FF I've never beaten. Now, 13-2 was phenomenal and has what I believe the best villain (behind Kafka from 6) in Caius Ballard.

I'd def suggest 12 and 16 from a gameplay perspective. 16 was interesting to see new stuff and the music amazing, and 12 is just super fun to watch the party go HAM after setting them up properly. Coming from the online 11, it was fun seeing how they implemented a lot of stuff into a single player offline experience. Really felt like an offline MMO. And 6 has an outstanding story. And top tier villain.

 

Every person should play FF6

 

I don't even remember how far I got. I remember a train station and some mission we had to go on. All I remember is the GF animations took forever and I needed to like button mash during them? I also hated that enemies level scaled and that you don't get money in the traditional sense.

This was on the original PS1 tho so the remasters probably have some much needed QoL features

 

QoL feature = they made Squall even hotter somehow

 

I was gonna play 9 next (eventually) but I guess I can add 6 to the list

 

Yeah that's super early into the games when you meet Rinoa.

I looooove the long animations and being able to boost by masking the square button lol. There's an end game summon that takes FOREVER.

 

Look, you got to be a pretty damn good game to get a statue worth $14k hahaha.
