Risk of Rain 2 is an all-time classic and everyone should own a copy. Even the Switch version is good.

Has anyone played through Black Mesa? I'd love to pick it up at some point, but I've been playing the HL games on my old college laptop (not a gaming rig by any means) and I'm wondering if it would handle it well.

 

listen, I'll say this. Everybody loves Black Mesa and it performs a little worse than HL2.

Finally finished Alan Wake II, some minor complaints about the combat feeling a bit lacking (especially since I actually really loved the combat in 1) but what an experience.

 

speaking of, if you get AW2 on Epic you also get AW1 remastered for free

 

By the time you finish playing AW1, AW2 may be done downloading but prob not.

 

I’m not going to play AW1 before I play 2

Finally upgraded from my old 48" Philips LCD (only 1080p) to a new 55" Sony Bravia OLED, so excited to finally have a new TV. Ive been gaming with that Philips since like '08 on my PS3 for reference. Thing served me very well. Bought myself Cyberpunk for like $20 too so Im pumped to try that out on a good set up once its delivered.

 

I also got Cyberpunk to test a new TV, also the first actually new one since like 08 haha

 

Just finished the MK1 story. Overall I enjoyed it but I feel like it was pretty short and it got really goofy in some of the second half. Also not sure how I feel about Invasions mode. but I think I’m disappointed in the game after loving MK11

I am very intrigued by Evil West. I want a good shooter with some satifsying progression that isn't Remnant 2 -- most overrated game this year btw imo.

 

Remnant 2 is more overrated than Spider-Man 2.

Agreed, just played a little more Remnant 2 yesterday and man, it's so just pretty good. I wish it had more to offer.

I almost bought evil west on steam the other day, glad I held out

 

DId not enjoy anything about the VR experience, made me feel sick and I feel like i'm still messed up from it a day later from just a short playing session, i'm sure i may adjust to it but i don't think i like being that immersed in anything. Gonna return it lol.
