yeah for once vase is right lol a lot of games people call bloated end up feeling fine to me because once i finish the main story im usually done. i'll do some side stuff along the way especially if its incentivized for increased power or better gear or something like that but never really all that much in the grand scheme. ill touch maybe 20-30% of any given game's side content on average, with some obvious exceptions like skyrim where ive been playing for days of play time beyond the very easy 15-20 hour main story line but thats because the side content in a game like that, with the dark brotherhood and thieves guild and companions and stuff like that, contains just as much content as the main story itself.

 

i just love the game world of Skyrim so so much. I’ve been playing a fresh file on my pc and falling back in love. the only other game I just wander around in looking at shit is wow but I can just do that for hours without doing anything that counts toward progress

 

bro I’ve finally gotten super into it after wasting so much time not playing them. Blew through 0 and now I’m like halfway through Kiwami. Loving it

 

HZD update: Finished Frozen Wilds; it's really, really good. Now on to finish up the rest of the main storyline. I've already done most of the side stuff. 90 hours, 97% completion so far. Really loving this game, as much as I'd hoped/anticipated I would.

 

Just got to the space area in It Takes Two. Did one of the portals but stopped for now. Loving this game so much. Also digging all the mini games but feel bad for my wife cuz she’s not very good at them.

 

I'm not familiar with Dying Light but I think twelve hours is a pretty good length for a main story. If it takes longer to beat than a Bioshock game it's probably too long.

 

Yes, I did just say I've played HZD for 90 hrs. You know what, shhh

 

If I see anything that says it takes 40 hours to finish that's a hard pass for me

 

Just ignore all RPGs then if you hate long games

But that's the thing, HZD is only taking me so long to beat because I'm doing all the side stuff, because I want to. I'm sure if I did just the main story it would've taken about twelve hours. A lot of RPGs are the same way.

40 hours is usually the sweet spot for me as far as JRPGs. I don't really have that completionist gene so I'm not out here putting 80 hours into every file

 

yeah me and my wife played about that much yesterday and it's so creative and fun. One of my favourite games in years.

I am also destroying my wife at the mini games, lol.
