alright lots of good points being made... maybe that was a bad take I posted earlier and it makes more sense that both the creativity of game studios and the medium itself might keep evolving and lots of stuff everyone's hyped about now will reveal itself to be basic as hell, and increasingly so over time. I didn't consider any of that until now tbh, my bad y'all. ^_^

 

No one’s saying anything will be revealed as basic over time, my favorite games span from the 90’s when I started playing video games to literally right now, just as my favorite music spans decades and my favorite movies span decades etc. etc. It’s not about diminishing what already exists but acknowledging that there’s still plenty of room for great shit to still be made. I couldn’t imagine living my life thinking I’ve already played the best games I’ve ever played, I’ve already heard the best music I’ve ever heard, etc. I need that sense of discovery of new shit to keep me going, it’s a great feeling.

Finally getting to play somethin tonight, that cheap ass Rogue Mana Spark has a DLC so im giving that a shot but Dungeon Encounters from SE is on sale so i'm gonna give that a try as well.

I got a Kishi for Christmas and it's actually super cool. Now I can finally play Lawn Mower Simulator

I also got (for myself) the Lego Bundle (Batman 3, both of the Lego Movie games, and DC Supervillains) because it's only $15 on the Xbox store.
