Dragon age inquisition is on the same level as those games imo and I’m holding onto hope da4 is gonna be great. but if we include more traditional rpg style games in that medieval fantasy rpg category (and not just restrict it to action rpg’s) like divinity original sin 2, the pillars of eternity games, pathfinder, etc. then plenty of games have already come out that at the very least rival Skyrim and the Witcher 3 if not surpass them

 

I mean if people don’t find Skyrim fun that’s fine and everything but I’ve been playing it for 10 years and still play to this day (literally TODAY) and have a blast every single session I play, and I don’t even use mods. I’ve never consistently played a game this much that wasn’t an mmo and I simply wouldn’t bother if I wasn’t having fun with it.

 

Elden Ring is the greatest game of all time, I already know it

 

Just beat the first mass effect. Absolutely fucking amazing game. Played the legendary edition so it honestly felt like a game made in the last couple years not one made in 2007. Anyway can’t wait to play 2, which I played a solid 5-6 hours of earlier this year but I remember little of it since I was pretty fucked up at the time

 

I'm glad people love that game, and clearly a lot of people do, I've just always found its success funny in comparison to how disappointed I was with it.

Obviously, as always, my post was just from my perspective as its all subjective and I don't mean to diminish anyone else's appreciation of the game.

I do think there's always improvements to be made though in any kind of game although its hard to work against personal bias and memories people have of playing certain games at just the right time in their lives.

 

Wow I did not get very far into ME 2 when I first played it at all lmao I guess I did get 5-6 hours if you include all the time I spent nodded out while nothing happened. don’t do drugs and don’t game and do drugs

 

pretty sure the only games I've played this year are WoW, FFXIV, Metroid Dread, and Mass Effect Legendary Edition, so I guess those are my games of the year

he’s played a bunch of forza on mine already so probably gonna start with Minecraft and forza.

I don’t think so. Each email is linked to a specific gamer tag. I’m not sure if it changes with a family plan. That might be worth checking out.

Give me a year or so and I will know more about that, lol

Eh i guess thats possible idk. I'll concede DA probably has some improvements on Skyrim. I just don't think there's much room for improvement left for videogames overall. Like I know graphics will get more detailed, but realistically can storytelling, immersion and production values go further than stuff like Horizon, The Witcher 3, Ni No Kuni, Ghosts of Tsushima RE8 and Uncharted? I'll be kinda surprised if they do tbh.
