Didn't get the change to reply but the game plays quite well. Definitely see the SOTC inspiration but it also plays a little adventure-y with the glider and climbing etc. Haptic feedback is great. Walked through snow and the controller went with the feet. Graphics-wise it isn't the best but I wasn't expecting Death Stranding levels. Sorta between Breath of the Wild and Kingdoms of Amalur (just got that on PS Plus)

 

thanks! that's quite the gamut, I'd argue BotW looks quite a bit better than Kingdoms of Amalur. I am installing as I type this, so very curious!

oh you nailed it. The environments are exactly as barren as those in Amalur and kind of lack the charm of a Breath of the Wild. I think some of the art is fucking incredible though.

Although I say this, playing a Shadow of the Colossus type game at a solid 144 fps feels weird to say the least! haha

What controller config are you rolling with? I decided on 3. Need my jump on A.

 

Same! I'm used to having Dodge on O and Jump on X etc. It took me longer than I wish to admit to remember changing buttons was a thing though...

 

That games looks cool but definitely not a day one. Will look into it when the price drops.

That’s pretty much every criticism with reviews along with the fact that the big “creatures” are optional.

 

I will say that no matter what it looks incredible coming from a three person team.
