Unless it's no longer streaming-only, and you can actually download the games and play them locally, it's still vastly inferior to GamePass.

  2. Didn’t the PS President say something along the lines of “who even plays older games?”

I don’t have much hope for it tbh. I’d like to be wrong tho

  3. Also, people saying it’s a competitor for gamepass is weird.

unless Sony is throwing first party titles up on day one - there’s no competition there.

  4. Compete with gamepass when it's console only? Make a pc compatible controller, let us play those older ps exclusives, cowards

I mean, it’s a step in the right direction because from what it seems, PS Now is…

Playing classic PlayStation games would be cool but even with all those rumors it still seems inferior to Gamepass. Also watch Sony charge $80 for the tier 3 that would include classic games smh

If Sony charges a price anywhere near comparable to that of GamePass Ultimate for that highest tier then it simply will not be worth it. GamePass gets new 1st-party games on Day 1 and you don't have to use streaming to play any of the games on the service as far as I know.

If Sony charged, like, $80/year for the highest tier, however, then that becomes an extremely compelling value imo. Access to classic PS1/PS2/PSP games, as well as PS4 games, for only $20 more than I already pay per year? That's a no-brainer.

I was joking about $80 a month on me not being surprised if it’s overpriced. If I were to guess, realistically, the tier 3 will be $15 a month like Gamepass is.

Didn’t Jim Ryan say subscription services aren’t sustainable?

Not sure but this reminds me that I’m pretty sure Jason got a letter from Absolut Vodka for using “ABSOLUTexclusives” as the header for some articles. @Jason Tate did I make this up?
