Replicant’s combat is more lacking IMO. Still fine, but Automata’s was so much better. It’s also unfortunately more repetitive than Automata to get all the endings. Still a great game with a fantastic story.

I totally made this exact same joke yesterday.

 

Question for you and those that share your opinion, do you enjoy the moment to moment gameplay? Like, all the story stuff is cool but I found the combat (especially the hacking and the shmup sections) to be very repetitive and bland.

A couple times during the scrolling shmup sections, I closed my eyes and put the controller down and let my auto heal carry me through.

 

Hm, this is tough to answer, I enjoy the gameplay because of the environment that has been created from the story telling and amazing soundtrack. Am I having a blast pulling off the same combos over and over? Not really but I don't mind it. I'm just excited now to see where the story goes.

How far did you get?

 

I got the real ending yesterday. You're right though, everything about the game that isnt actually playing the game is great. I guess the story just didnt pull me in enough that I could fully get around it.

 

This is just a thing in a lot of video games since the HD era

I found it repetitive but I didn't mind it, I still grinded to max out all plug in chips and weapons. I enjoyed playing it.

Yeah I enjoyed it about as much as I do most games, I thought both kinds of gameplay felt really good to play and I was so engrossed in the world and story that I always wanted to progress.

I would honestly just love an HD remaster on all current consoles. That game holds up so we'll.

 

Chrono Cross is one of my top 5 favorite games of all time. Favorite soundtrack for sure. I’m giddy if this is true.

I do fortunately have a way to play my originally disk copy of the game on my 60gb backwards comparable PS3, but that’s way up in storage. A remaster can’t replace the charm of the low poly character models and slightly muddy water color backgrounds, but I'll be glad to play whatever this is for sure!

 

Series X's are available on the Microsoft website. It looks like you have to build a bundle but they are there. Also, they could be here as soon as 12/8.

Is the Series S worth it? It’s easily available and I really want to play Halo/try out the Gamepass. I’m tired of waiting to find a Series X and I already have a PS5.
