The Suspend Cycle feature is very cool. So many times I’m on a good run and I have to go and do something.

 

Can't wait to start Guardians of the Galaxy later

 

I'm a real gamer and neglect everyone (except my cat) and every responsibility I have so I never needed the suspend feature.

 

You ever regret that eating is a thing we need to do regularly? So inconvenient.

 

I haven't eaten lunch twice in the last week

The sad thing is, I was working, not pwning noobs in Apex (aka getting pwned by noobs in Apex)

BlizzCon cancelled

 

People think it’s due to the stuff that’s happened the last few months but it’s because they have nothing to announce.

Diablo 4 is years away.
Overwatch 2 is in development hell and just a big patch for the first game.
StarCraft is dead.
They announce WoW stuff randomly now.

Yeah, there’s really no point in having one when you got nothing to bring to the table to justify it. The death of StarCraft makes me so sad though, the original/Brood War is my all time favorite RTS and what I’ve played of 2 was pretty dope.

 

I bet it’ll have the same ending as both movies

 

Not necessarily. There is a lot more you can do with a game narrative wise than you can with a movie. But we will see.

 

I wonder if it’ll be in the vein of Until Dawn/Detroit:BH/etc

I was just thinking that. Saber Interactive are working on it and they have done a ton of stuff including World War Z and Crysis Remastered.

 

I’m just over people trying to make that the new horror franchise. The first movie was a solid, cool movie but it genuinely was a one shot concept imo and the second movie was basically just the first movie with different situations while having the same ending as the first. Like good on Jim for having success as a director with it but what more needs to be said that the first movie didn’t already accomplish? A game isn’t gonna change that, plus don’t we already have a glut of survival horror games where you have to be stealthy and hide from an overpowered antagonist/enemies?

Like if you’re excited about it, then don’t mind me, go nuts if that’s your thing.

I low key agree with this.

On the one hand, I am totally okay with a game bringing nothing new to the table as long as it's well-crafted and fun to play, but on the other hand, turning this concept into a game sounds like someone with dollar signs in their eyes just putting a key in a lock.

It's such a duh move that it wouldn't surprise me if it was just to capitalize on the potential vs. actually doing anything interesting with it.

That said, I'm totally prepared to be wrong and for it to be awesome and present a compelling and interesting tale, even though I realize as I type this that this is pretty much becoming The Last Of Us.

 

I picked up deaths gambit based off recommendations in here and the controls on Switch are fucked. I’ll never grasp this it’s so unintuitive

Player's Log:

Still playing Bloodstained. I beat the boss of the hidden desert. Now I can walk around underwater like nature intended.

In other news, I don't know if I'm going to do this after Bloodstained, but apparently my Eastward prayers have been answered because the developers have updated the game with a huge amount of QOL stuff including (drumroll)... Chapter Select!

Now I can go back and make that recipe I fucked up. They also added the ability to play Earth Born from the main menu, and a Fast Travel system on the map, so let the good times rolleth.

They also did some other stuff like added more graphics and controls options, several bug fixes, and tweaks to various bits and pieces. There's also apparently more "narrative content" added to something in the last Chapter, no idea what's meant by that.

Anyway, huzzah!

 

ohhhhhhh fast travel, intriguing. I need to go back to it for sure
