Player's Log:

Just got the worst ending in Bloodstained for the achievement. Still a long way to go in the game. Map says I'm about halfway through.

The mirror magic power is a bit cumbersome, cause I have to aim with the right stick and then hit the trigger button to zap myself wherever I've aimed, but otherwise it's a neat concept that feels fresh. Next up, time to see a woman about draining a blood fountain.

Achievement-wise, I'm 19 for 45. Got some of the more offbeat achievements, so the rest is pretty much just story achievements and collection achievements. The problem with the latter, is I can tell I'm going to have to do some grinding at some point to get the money to buy everything I need. That's a future problem though.

Player's Log:

I feel bad posting so soon after my last one, but...

I drained the blood pool, reached the underground, and saved. Then after learning to swim in the most ridiculous way possible and navigating a tunnel that gives me bad flashbacks to the NES TMNT seaweed, I made it to the hidden desert and then promptly died, losing all the progress I just outlined after the word "saved".

Therefore, I'm calling it a night, picking it up tomorrow.

Elaborating more on swimming, apparently absorbing this one enemy's shard lets you shoot a jetstream that will propel you underwater, so I'm basically swimming by propelling myself backward. This works about as well as you might think.

The stupid part is that I have to do it this way because the boss of the hidden desert has the item that will let me sink like a stone and truly explore underwater, so to do things the right way, I have to first do things the stupid way.

Obtained Platinum in the base game of Spider-Man and completed the first DLC.

Finding it fairly easy, even on the hardest difficulty.

 

It feels kinda wild that I already maxed out the skills in every tree in god of war and I don’t think I’m 3/4 through the game yet.

 

learning the two best armor sets are locked behind new game plus when you can platinum the game on one play through is very much lame.

I would love to get the Zeus or Ares armor but no way I’m going to do it all again for them.

Posted about that earlier. It will most likely. The studio is a group of people from Bioware, Bethesda, Def Jam and Activision. It’s probably just a timed exclusive.

Damn, missed the Solar Ash delay announcement until now. Was hoping to play it tomorrow.

 

Yeah, i want something to quench that thirst. The notes said to expect "upcoming third-party games" so....

 

I guess it depends. If MS is funding it like Contraband, IOI dragon game, etc. etc. it might be full exclusive. Who knows at this point though.

Yeah, it looked lovely. As someone who enjoyed last year's showing, I think the year delay has made a huge difference. Game looks to be incredible.

 

Darkest Dungeon 2 looks AMAZING

Glad the reviews are looking good. It's been looking cooler and cooler the more I see of it, after initially not being on my radar at all.

 

Nothing can interest me in playing a Guardians game where I'm only playing as the most boring character. There are dozens of games with smarmy, wise cracking protagonists who shoot guns. Why couldnt we be someone else?
