Trying to wrap up Links Awakening before Dread. The later dungeons are surprisingly difficult. Had to look up a guide on a couple. Great game tho.

This is exactly how I am, and I am definitely looking forward to Far Cry 6 even though I’m sure I’ll tire of it WELL before I ever beat it (which I almost certainly won’t)

I overplayed FC 3 but didn’t spend toooo much time in 4 and 5 and haven’t touched them in years so I think this will one feel fresh enough.

Spider-Man is 100% an open world game. I’m surprised so many people enjoy it if they are burnt out on those types of games.

The thing about Spider-man is that you get to be Spider-man.

I really like the open world of Spider-Man, it feels like I’m in an actual city with people moving around and going about their day

Imo, the biggest drawback of open world games is the empty vibes you get from them. It’s never not weird to move around a world that’s supposed to be this living thing and it often feels like you’re just alone wandering around. Some games this really works out, like Fallout and HZD in their post-apocalyptic settings for example, but like games like GTA, not so much.

But it definitely does everything, I mean everything, an open world game does. So if every game had a Spider-Man skin, all would be well? Lol

For me personally, if I got to be Spider-Man and swing around in every open world game, I would be down.

But I am a weirdo who has a dream where I have Spider-Man's powers literally at least once a month.

I just want to also have Venom be playable in Spider-Man 2 so I can relive the glory of my favorite Spider-Man game prior to 2018/Miles Morales

Yeah being able to swing around and climb up everything helps the open world be a lot more fun.

Unfortunately, there is a reason why companies tend to co-opt original projects into existing licenses.

Well, I’ve activated all the towers, collected all the backpacks and defeated all the Fisk hideouts. I guess it’s time to play the main game!

swinging around is so much fun compared to just running around or driving around

literally there’s a fast travel mode in Spider-Man I think and I never used it because I rather just swing across town

The way they made him swing so fast, a fast travel system seems obsolete.

In Spider-Man, I never used to quit the game until I was able to swing round then run up the highest building in the game. Such great swinging mechanics. The area didn't feel empty at all.

Yeah, in Spider-Man you’re always zipping around quickly enough that traversing the map is a breeze and in turn the open world doesn’t feel like that big at all. I mean compared to lots of open world games, the Spider-Man map is pretty small anyway.
