MGS3 doesn’t need a remake. Game is still fantastic. Them not doing MGS1 is a mistake.

 

As someone who only played video games casually until the PS4/XB1 era, and have never played any kind of Metal Gear. I’m assuming everyone in the same boat as me will never touch a Metal Gear title unless there is a way to play them all conveniently on modern hardware, or at least a remake or reworked version of the first one.

 

If you didnt play the MGS games when they came out, I would say don't bother with them. Some things they did were cool but a lot of it didnt age very well.

 

Not playing MGS3 when it came out is definitely a big regret of mine, but I also didn’t have a working PS2 at that point.

 

All you guys who are okay with PS2 MGS3 but want a remake of the first game...

I did really like the PVP in Demons Souls remake actually. Before then I didn’t care for it.
