Yeah Hades has a lot of stuff that carries over from run to run. Really your boons are the only meaningful thing you lose when you die.

It's honestly kind of insane how long it takes till you become fully powered. I'm probably 100 hours in, done easily 200 runs, and am still unlocking marginal upgrades and getting stronger between runs.

I'm at the point where the only things left for me to unlock are some aspects in weapons I don't really use (don't like the gun or bow) and cosmetic stuff. I still play it fairly regularly though, it's a great game for podcast listening.

Fun as hell. Well worth it especially on sale. I never played them as a kid outside of a demo of the warehouse level so I had no real nostalgia about them, but I had a blast playing the remakes.

As far as its mechanics holding up I'd rank it with Yoshi's Island, Ninja Gaiden Black, Katamari, Crazy Taxi and Tetris. The games are pretty much as is, with current gen 60 fps visuals plus new songs and features (including multiplayer) added.

Call Of Duty is the video game equivalent of a black hole. It swallows everything in its wake, and no light escapes from it.

I don’t know if it’s just my brain being dumb but I’m playing hades on Xbox now and it feels 10x easier than it did on switch even though I was using the pro controller on that console

It might have a better framerate, contrary to what some people might tell you that can make a huge difference in terms of gameplay too

tbh I’m not the best at even noticing that when I’m playing games

You might notice it without noticing it with your eyes so to say. Playing a game that requires, uh, dexterity, will just feel better.

    Play the Yakuza series

Did I buy ghosts of tsushima ps5? You’re god damn right I did. I didn’t get that far on ps4 version so i’m excited to play it again.

Downloaded the Ghost of Tsushima directors cut last night. Excited to check out this new island.

What would Ghost of Tsushima be most comparable? Trying to figure out if I'd enjoy it or not

Fun. That's the most comparable thing.

Never played an AC game but I vaguely know they are stealth based and a ton of collectibles

Not the new ones. Well, there is still stealth, but not in the same way, and the collectibles are gone too. But if that doesn't help you, maybe think Witcher 3, but less of an RPG and with more fluid gameplay.

For whatever reason my PS4 platinum trophy game save has seemingly been lost which is a bummer, but now i’m using it as an excuse to play from the beginning with the Japanese voice track and lip sync.

This is all assuming that O find even a sliver of motivation to put down Hades. I am just full blown in can’t get enough territory, I let my dinner go cold last night because I couldn’t stop playing. Gotten really close to killing the second boss a few times, going to go wild once I do lol.

There’s things to collect but it doesn’t feel like checking things off a list. The island is very beautiful and fun to explore. Idk how they did it but it’s probably my favorite of these open world games like Horizon, AC, etc.

I'm not familiar with that either but if that's what it's similar to I'm not sure I'd be into it.
Hmmm, didn't realize it was open world like that

I would say Ghost is much more casual and accessible than your average 3rd person open world action rpg. They built in mechanics to make the gameplay loop as natural and intuitive as possible, i would sit down to play it and immediately lose hours in the world. Easily the most laid back and least overwhelming “one of these games” i’ve played.
