Anyone playing Grime? I just beat the first boss and really digging it.

I think I fucked up already though (early game potential NPC?) I killed the guy crying that his head was wrong, I have a feeling I was supposed to wear that weeper armor and then talk to him?

Almost all open world can be player in a linear way so why let’s stay away from corridor location design

idk about that but the problem with open worlds to me is most of them are just boring open landscapes with little or no points of interest. compare that to something intricate and interesting like dark souls or last of us. i think its alot harder to do good level design with an open world - for me it kinda doesnt even exist at this point. the bethesda ones are probably still my favorite ones if i had to pick.

 

Ghost of Tsushima is the only open world I’ve enjoyed exploring without a marker telling me I need to check out this cave or whatever.

 

Yep, it often just feels like a waste of time traversing a huge map to get to the next way point in open world games.

 

i cant wait to play this game if only bc ive always wanted a hardcore samurai game

Ghost of Tsushima's open-world is fantastic

 

Dark Souls is somewhere in the middle to me. It's open world in a way like Orcarina of Time is. It's not levels technically but one big thing even though the whole thing is small-ish zones connected through doorways. To me that's a difference from like real linear games lol

 

to me thats just linear design. whatever it is i would take more of it esp because these days its rare.

 

I need recommendations for a casual game that I can play when I'm stoned lol. I currently play tons of NBA 2k, FIFA, skyrim. I would love a non-sports game that I can just play and zone out

If you have a Switch, Lumines Remastered is currently on sale. Tetris Effect is a good one on any other platform. Lumines Remastered is also available on other platforms besides Switch.
