For those that have been following my TV saga and those looking for a new TV: the new Sony X85J seems to be exactly what I have been waiting for. It's got all the stuff you need for next-gen gaming (provided Sony come through on their promise to add VRR, which they haven't done in the past) AND it is flicker-free, which is huge.

Sadly it's not available here yet, but my old TV started working again out of nowhere to so for now I have time.

 

Just trying to see if there's any Sony conference lined up any time soon and see this in a write up about Naughty Dog..

"We know that Naughty Dog is working on a standalone multiplayer spin-off to The Last of Us Part 2; a spiritual successor to the Factions PvP experience of the first game. We've also heard rumours that the studio is potentially developing a Last of Us remake, and perhaps even Uncharted 5."

I don't want any of that lol. Just make something new and interesting please, they've always been very good at not wasting their time running franchises into the ground and I don't want them to start now.

 

SE showcase today, feeling good about it

 

I think I read last month that Sony killed the possibility of a "Days Gone 2" in favor of a remake of "The Last of Us", but maybe I misread/misremembered

 

Yes, but Sony let Bend Studios go and do their own thing, and it was recently confirmed Bend are doing making their own new IP game now.

 

Hell yeah to factions 2 because TLOU multiplayer was so fun.

Sure why not to Uncharted 5.

Indifferent on a TLOU remake.

We’re not even a year into PS5 so I’m sure at some point in the next few years we’ll see something new from ND. Or not idk. Maybe they become Ubisoft and only crank out the money makers.

 

Hard “no thanks” to a TLOU2 multiplayer. Don’t think I have the emotional capacity to casually play something so intrinsically brutal and horrifying.

 

As long as Nate isn’t the protagonist in Uncharted 5, I’m down. 4 beautifully wrapped up his story and I don’t want that touched.

 

What if it’s a chibby version like that Gears mobile game lolol

 

Also, it’s been mad underwhelming so far seeing all that’s been revealed so far outside of a few things but here’s hoping today is better.

 

TLOU Funko Pop game

 

Gears Pop was actually a lot of fun but the constantly changing nerfs to characters and the meta forcing you to buy to packs in order to keep up was ridiculous. People caught on very quickly to what they were doing and the game died.

 

Yeah I heard it was well made

 

Hoping for some cool stuff today.

 

So besides Sable, and Elden Ring what were some other notable trailers/reveals on the summer gamefest on Thursday?

Interested to see what Starfield actually looks like (past the leaks we have) and how much they’re willing to show if we aren’t close to a release date.

My son is hyped for Forza so by default I am too.

I'm sure we will get a GamePass sizzle with all the games coming in the next year including Yakuza and Back4Blood. Also, maybe something from Compulsion and an acquisition. Beyond that, who knows what they will show us.

 

that's the main reason I don't want any more, Uncharted without him is pointless for me. Lost Legacy was cool but I didn't like it anywhere near as much as the main games and we've had 5 Uncharted games already, I'm good.
