I don’t blame Sony and Microsoft for wanting to get into the mobile market. That’s where the $$$ is.

 

maybe it wont be once all the loot ads become illegal. thats long overdo because the market is almost entirely pre teen children from what i understand.

 

That mobile strategy is copy paste from what Nintendo said about theirs

Mobile games aren't the problem. It's how the public perceives them. They are often viewed as being lower quality, cheaper games even though with the technology there's absolutely no reason why you can't get a highly polished and wonderful game on iOS or Android devices. So it's a question of whether or not Sony is going to fight that image by releasing quality content for a reasonable or "premium" price or if they are just going to do cheap tie-ins that are filled with gatcha or tapping mechanics.

It would be nice if people would realize that mobile games could be an absolutely viable platform for bigger franchises to have mobile counterparts like the 3DS or Vita, but I don't think the public wants to deal with games that potentially could have a 20$ price tag.

 

Also, nobody wants to pay more than .99 for an app

 

I know it’s not huge in western markets but it’s popular outside of that. Especially places where consoles are scarce.
