I think people exaggerate that. Witcher 3 was opulent for sure but not exactly unique in that regard.

 

Nah, they got placed a way-too-high pedestal after The Witcher 3 and everything that's happened in the years since that game came out (crunch reports, transphobia, releasing an unfinished game) has just proven how massively wrong people were to lionize them off the back of one game they liked.

 

In retrospect the first clue should've been their pandering "FOR TEH GAMERZ" approach to announcing things like "no microtransactions or loot boxes" in their games.

Like, buddy, I should hope there aren't any microtransactions or loot boxes in your single-player RPG game. You shouldn't expect or receive kudos for doing the bare minimum that should be expected of any game studio.

 

So yes, Nintendo made the right call shutting that down

Thanks! For whatever reason, when I build a custom one, with the processor and graphics card I need, it’s a minimum like $1100, before keyboard, mouse and tv/monitor. I guess I’ll just have to hold off on it for now. Maybe once I refinance my loan, I’ll be able to save up what I need for the PC!
