Xbox and Sony should be ashamed at the way the new systems were rolled out and the difficulty of trying to buy one.

 

They really should be. It should never be this difficult. It’s not like it’s a cheap item either...

I really don’t understand it and I honestly think at least 40% must be scalpers of some sort.

 

videos games are one of the most popular things in the world at an all time popularity in middle of a pandemic which has fucked world wide manufacturing and has made in store pick up impossible, I think it’s pretty easy to understand why it’s not a perfect launch IMO.

it’s also not for Sony and Microsoft to dictate how distributors like Best Buy and such do sales so it’s not even on them

 

Sony and Microsoft both have enough power that they could have dictated how the systems were distributed if they really cared. It’s not like the stores wouldn’t have worked with them.

 

After being sad about not getting a ps5 I looked into building a gaming pc today, since that’s been sort of on my list to do for a while. Only to find out all the good parts for those are also out of stock right now lmao.

Yeah, I think bot protection is the biggest problem with these launches. The distributors didn't put any protections up to stop bots from scooping up the majority of their stock. Once again, it's not the end of the world. There are only a couple exclusives out at the moment, so I don't feel like I'm missing out on all that much.
