If you buy the standard digital version of the new COD, they’ll give you the chance to switch to cross-gen for an extra $10/£10 so you don’t have to worry about buying that cross-gen version straight away. Loads of games will probably do something similar too.

I haven’t bought a physical copy of a game in prolly 2 and a half years. Digital only is so much easier and I don’t have to wait for the game to install then wait another however long to download the day one patch. As soon as the game unlocks on digital I can play it no waiting an extra hour plus. Day one patches are downloaded the night before or morning of release day. I fucking love it

 

I'm just pointing out that you don't have to buy a special edition of the game to move next-gen necessarily (unless you're Xbox lol) just purchase physical PS4 and make the move when PS5 comes out

 

Yeah but your still paying the same amount as you would for the cross gen edition by doing it that way

also next gen price of the game is $70 idk if you saw that or not

 

the COD link I opened said $60 for PC

I normally hold off a year or two on new consoles anyway so it's nice to just buy a current gen version with an option to switch if I ever did buy a PS5 or XSX

 

Buy standard ps4 edition and pay $66.29 then add $10 it’s $76.29

buy the cross gen digital version pay $77.33 and get both current and next gen Versions

ps5/series x will be the same price as the cross gen edition by its self

going with the cross gen or ultimate edition is the smarter move imo no matter how you look at it

 

I already have ultimate preordered so this conversation is moot and pointless for me

so moving on

If people are buying a console near launch I don’t see why anybody bother playing the last gen version.

I think cod will be out a week before the ps5 comes out. My guess is series x November 6th Cuz their controller warranties for new controllers expired November 6th of next year.

ps5 will come out the week after cod on the 20th.

I don’t think they wait till December to launch. They would want to capitalize on all the holiday shopping that goes on in the month of November when people have the most money saved up and available

but that’s just my opinion on the launches of the consoles
