Unreal Tournament renaissance please.

 

I think we see Factions and a new IP single player title that’ll be their next big thing being headed up by a non Druckmann team. It’s been an open secret that we’re going to be getting new Uncharted at some point from a non ND first party Sony studio, I don’t think there’s any way it’s Factions and then nothing for like 5 years until TLOU3.

 

I still need to finish p5 haha

 

Sony, I feel like this needs to be said. Not everything needs a film/show adaption.

Gran Turismo, God Of War, The Last Of Us, Uncharted, Twisted Metal, etc.

Some things can just be games and that's FINE.

Bring back movie and TV show tie-in games instead

 

Uncharted is a hard one to throw in with this recent run of Sony games adaptations because the green lighting and early development of the movie came from an entirely different era and leadership group. Either way I was never going to spend any couple of hours in my life seeing that movie.

TLOU show looks incredible and will bring an incredible story and characters to an entire new audience. God of War, if Cory himself seems just as happy with the work for the Amazon series as Neil is with the HBO show why would we not be stoked for that? Ghost of Tsushima movie from the John Wick guy, do I have to explain even a little how great that’ll be? Horizon show for Netflix which has been confirmed should have a good shot at being decent if they handle it the way they seem to be handling the other projects. Hell, i’ll be the first to tell you this Twisted Metal show shouldn’t exist, but at least they know that and it’s only a Peacock show for that reason. It also stars @The Spoonman so it can never be a complete L.

I promise i’m not doing the Sony Pony thing here, just trying to judge each of these individually on what we’ve seen and heard so far. I also don’t really understand the point behind going after these Sony adaptations that hard when you could be critical of the fact that entire streaming services like Netflix have like 25-30 things out each week and in the last five years i’ve maybe watched like 3 original Netflix things?

 

Yeah I think it’s fine too, these IPs definitely aren’t worse than what TV or movie people that make that kind of stuff come up with

 

Sony because at least Nintendo has the shit people actually wanna play available.

 

Ehhhhhh, sometimes but they do very often neglect games and put on random shit like Tuff E Nuff, BRAWL BROTHERS, Claymates and more but still don't have Super Mario RPG. (I know "potentially" rights issues).

Nintendo is just wack. They don't even have a consistent schedule anymore. They just throw random stuff all over the place.

Honest question: does stuff like Dead Cells and Bloodstained look noticeably better in 4k 60fps--if that's even an option?

 

HELL YES. I saw Druckmann already had the story done so I would have been super surprised if Sony/Naughty Dog opted not do a part III.

I mean, they still got the most popular fan favorite stuff on Online beyond SMRPG which is much better than like five actual classics and a lotta shrugs that Sony is rocking. It’s especially bad when you got one of the most beloved first party catalogs in the industry with games that many could re-discover and breathe new life into.

 

the libraries of the virtual SNES, NES, and genesis seem fine enough. the n64 is still a work in progress but its got what youd expect. i had some fun with mario golf last night.

vampire survivors is brutal when a bunch of bats pushes forward a bunch of zombies on top of you and you die immediately

 

What weapons are you using?

 

anyone play skyrim on current gen consoles - hows the load times? with mods? last gen it was a nightmare.

 

You eventually get to a point in vampire survivors where with the right build it’s almost impossible to die

I once killed like 25 reapers that start spawning at the 30 minute mark
