I've been enjoying Deathloop so far. The characters and shooting style reminds me of the recent Wolfenstein games. My main gripe with the game is that I've put around 6 hours in and the game is still "teaching" me all the gameplay elements, which makes it pretty convoluted. There's the time of day system, the saving weapons system, the absorbing system, adding trinkets to guns, finding clues to visionaries, and following the story. Plus I'm sure other things. Pretty nuts that it still feels like a tutorial this far into the game, it's all a bit much. IGN giving it a 10/10 back when it was an exclusive is pretty ridiculous. So far I'd say a typical 8/10.

Yeah, I agree it is a very DENSE game. But with that being said, it is a great game.
The Daytime element of the game is so that you can only search for certain clues and targets during a specific part of the day. The trinkets are essentially upgrades to your weapons. But the game in and of itself is meant/designed to be convoluted and piecing together the story is all part of the journey. I understand your frustration though.

Yes and extremely no at the same time.
One of the most compelling characters is trans and whips ass.

  4. How yes? I never read much about it aside from some questionable promotional material and character customization options

The most I’ve seen in terms of transphobia is a tasteless ad featuring a trans woman, which honesty feels like something I’d see in a GTA game.

My nephew, the little dickhead (I’m jealous so I am lashing out), got a Steamdeck and has been playing Cyberpunk and he says it is awesome. That’s all I have for you lol

This further asks why? Why is there a second game instead of expanding on the first? Lol

Seek out the cyberpunk thread on reset era, it’s a stickied post on every page where trans people lay out their arguments against the game.

I’m sorry I can’t be of more help.

  11. nah you're good. I guess if I ever get to it I just need to keep in mind that some of it might bother me. idek if I should be wary of CDPR in the same way I've been avoiding Gearbox. As much as I hate to admit it, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands looks super interesting, and I'm down for new Witcher. At least Blizzard is making it easy for me to avoid them, so much stuff leading up to OW2's release feels wrong.

On PC, I experienced very little issues with it bug wise from day 1 and have had a blast. I got about 55 hoursin completing maybe 75% of main story? before I played other games, and I struggle to go back once I forget the controls so I'm going to start over sometime soon. I know it's not the best rec to say I loved it but didn't finish, but I have ADD with games lately and I don't always have the time to play I want so I just go to something quick and before I know it, I forgot the controls and story on the game I was playing.

The story is honestly pretty good (some really great side quests) and the graphics are absolutely incredible so it's a fun world to just live in. The combat is goofy and bad as enemies are just absolute bullet sponges and cops pop up out of nowhere. Inventory wise, the amount of crap you can pick up, and the lack of explanation about what to do with it all is pretty frustrating but there are far, far more pro's than con's. It's got some good characters with good voice actors, some surprisingly emotional moments, and for the most part, it's just a fun game.

I will roll another character soon (different origin than nomad, probably corpo) and see if I can complete it in a couple months without game hopping.

I will be all over this just to help make it a success so we can get a remaster/remake of dead space 2. That's one of the most memorable campaigns I've ever played through and up there with my favorite single player games of all time. This may make 1 closer to 2 with all the bells and whistles added, but man, 2 was soooo good to me.

Deathloop is in Humble Bundle Monthly this month, but I already own it, so if anyone wants the key on Steam, let me know.

Same goes for Maid Of Sker and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope.

october is gonna be awesome. not only are we getting persona 5 on the 20th but the resident evil village dlc is coming on the 28th. i was obsessed with re for a long time but i just havent had too much interest in the 7 or 8 because i dont care for the fps camera view. but the dlc is adding a third person mode for village and im just soooo excited to finally experience a new re game in a way that appeals to me.

also i know a lot of you are rpg fans so i figured id see if anyone here plays genshin. i know the game has a less than great reputation, but ive been playing it since launch and its a really immersive and beautiful open world that has tons of cool rpg elements. surprised i never see much talk about it.

To think I was mad because my Series X was somehow unpaired with my Xbox app so I couldn’t download it while at work but I guess it didn’t matter anyway

Players Log: Decided to check out Echo Generation since it is leaving Game Pass later this month. Fun little turn based RPG with 8 bit graphics and gameplay similar to something like Paper Mario or Costume Quest.

Anyone have $275 they want to throw my way so I can pick up this sweet collectors edition?

Also, if you are a GPU member, you get the game 10% off bringing it down to $62.99

I remember buying the special edition of DS2 with the plasma cutter and it was like big enough for a small child.
