    Player's Log: DOOOOOON'T STOP! BELIEEEEEEEVEN!

I Journeyed. I actually expected this to last me more than one evening, so I'm relatively surprised I finished it this quickly.

I'm not going for all the achievements since some of them are multiplayer based and I'm not about that life. I do have a couple more achievements within my power I want to get though, so I'll do that and then call it quits.

Nice little game. I can see why it got all the acclaim, even if it is pretty short. But even here, this early, you have that line between game and art that Annapurna-published games like to straddle.

Anyway, this also ends my Annapurna run. I'm saving Stray for another time, along with all the other Annapurna games I didn't play.

I already spun the wheel a few days ago, and the next batch I play will be from Daedelic Entertainment. They're currently known as the people working on Lord Of The Rings: Gollum.

Their bread and butter though is in point and click adventure titles like their flagship Deponia series, although they have published in other genres from time to time with mixed results.

I've played some of their games, some I finished and some I didn't. I'm going to start with one of the latter, The Whispered World.

No, but I own it and it's definitely one I will savor when it comes up in the RNG machine. I've heard great things about it.

    Player's Log: Journey.

So I learned something annoying. I have only one more symbol to collect and it's in that slide level in the second bit. I had no idea where to find it the first time around and it went by so fast, I was like fuck it.

Anyway, I'm now using Chapter Select to go back for it and now that I know where it is, I find that my scarf isn't long enough now to traverse that distance, because my scarf resets when starting a new game.

So basically in order to get that symbol, I have to collect all the symbols prior to it to get a scarf long enough to do what I need. Fucking sucks.

Here's the thing, I don't know if I want to do that right now, because there's actually an achievement for not playing the game for a week and coming back. So I might wait until then so I can knock that achievement off the list too.

It wasn't a total loss. I ran into someone else who knew what was up when I started meditating, so I got that achievement, and hopefully they did too. Didn't expect to get anything multiplayer related, but here we are.

Anyone have recommendations if its better to start with Immortality and I like it go back and play Telling Lies and Her Story or if I should flip it? Heard good things about the lot of them, but not sure where to get started. A bit worried that like, Immortality might have a lot of quality of life improvements that make Her Story be really clunky to go back to but if I play them the other way around they just become nice little upgrades.

I'd never really heard anything about it but I picked it up in a recent sale based solely on how cool the universe seemed. I likely won't get to it for a while, but I'm excited to hear this.

There’s a couple things I want to finish playing first, but played an hour or so of AC Origins yesterday and it’s the most interested I’ve been to continue one of these games, gameplay feels really really good. My problem with Valhalla was the combat feeling kinda clunky, kinda want to revisit it sometime

AC Origins is the best one.

Origins is the best one because it is more focused while still huge. Odyssey is insanely impressive but arguably too big. It’s still a really good game though with some really high highs. I admittedly did not play Valhalla because I hate Vikings.

Valhalla was great, but I didn’t play too much of it because I never bought it. Just tried it on that like free month of the Ubisoft subscription

    Play the Yakuza series

I played some Red Faction 1 last night and the enemy grunts and death sounds are still a classic

I've only ever played Her Story, so I don't know if there are any differences among the games like you say, but I feel in general what you outline is the risk you take when playing any game series or games from the same developer. It's up to you if you're comfortable with that or not.

That said, it's not like there's a lot to Her Story's gameplay loop to improve upon, from what I remember.

Decided to run through all the Monkey Island games. I only have played Escape on PS2 when I was a kid so I’m excited. Finished part 1 of Secret of Monkey Island last night and I love it so far.
