They need to chill on AC games

  4. I've never played one, does it even feel like a series anymore? Like, aside from the more recent ones being more open world, is the gameplay relatively the same? Or are they just using the AC banner for a bunch of barely similar games so they sell better?

i really feel like they're not as different as people make them out to be, there's still plenty of the assassins lore present, you can still perform assassinations and use stealth to accomplish tasks but its become less of a sticking point as the combat has taken a more hack and slash approach in recent entries.

ive really only played 1, 3, and Valhalla and if you ask me they are the same, except the new ones have rpg elements to the combat etc

I was just go to say: I think the biggest addition that makes it different is the inclusion of RPG like qualities.

  8. So they're still very recognizably AC games? Got it. I have a few of the earlier ones that I just never got to

  9. Okay but like, what are some series where regardless of which entry you pick up you can clearly recognize it's part of that series? I feel like that can be interesting to discuss. What makes a series a series?

The 2D games are great too and honestly, pretty challenging.

    Players Log:
Just 100% completed TinyKin. Fantastic and charming game with incredible level design. As far as completion goes, it was a little frustrating at the end to try and find all the nectar and Tinykins but overall not a bad list. Highly recommend.

The new Disney Dreamlight Valley game is fun. It’s Disney meets Animal Crossing meets SIMs. My only hesitation is there’s not a ton of characters in it now, but it’s one they should be able to easily add to as time goes on.

Putting the werk in on Multiversus. Went from rank nine million down to 800,000. Gonna get in the top 100k by the end of the week.

I’m stuck in the 100k range and it’s horrible because I can’t escape it

Definitely. The entire premise is basically meeting and becoming friends with Disney Characters through simple missions.

I didn’t realize this until after I purchased it, but it will be free to play next year and the versions out now are early access. I bought the cheapest one so no regrets, but not everyone will want to buy something that will be free in 6 months.

rolled credits on Cult of the Lamb and loved every second of it (post patch). just a great combo of two really addicting game-types for me. looking forward to see what they do next/DLC.

might get into Rogue Legacy 2 now after watching the NoClip doc.

I feel like those are good in their own right but if you played Mark of the Ninja first they kind of aren't. Mark of the Ninja is basically the perfect version of what those 2D AC games wanted to be.
