I’m just so done with the R&M fan base so that trailer made me a little eh. I do appreciate less serious FPS’s tho

 

Personally, the game looks really interesting to me. Totally can see why people are annoyed about Justin Roiland’s voice acting but eh, I’ve lived through worse.

it’s not just the voice acting, the writing is so trite and beats you over the head with its punchline until it’s annoying, draining all the humor from it. anymore than five hours of that is going to drive me up a wall, let alone if it’s a 10-20 hour campaign

 

To anyone who's played Rollerdrome, would you say the levels feel more like sp action game levels? early tony hawk levels? later tony hawk sequel levels?

 

That’s basically Borderlands’ bread and butter

 

yeah and borderlands 3's writing was criticized by every single person who played it lol

 

Part of me agrees w/ this, but also maybe the idea of a shooting game where weapons keep yammering on to you as annoyingly as possible has potential to be fun depending on the writing, acting, game's length, etc.

Based on all the footage shown is it possible there's some intentional irony there, like the point itself might be to provoke the player? Seems like there might be but tough to know for sure based on thirty seconds of footage tbf

 

Pre-Sequel was pretty bad about it too.

This gets a free pass though

 

I enjoy Borderlands' humor, but I can see how it's not for everyone. I usually see people criticizing the games' "woke"-ness, though. I'm on the other side of that, so High on Life doesn't look appealing to me at all.

 

Man, I guess me and Nate are the only two who are into it lol. Nothing wrong with that though.

 

i finally got blood sweat and pixels today and finished the first two chapters. extremely fascinating stuff, but more importantly it has made me want to commit to a pillars of eternity playthrough. ive owned it for a while now but never did more than the brief intro that gets you to the first real zone.

 

Started playing Islets tonight and I'm loving it so far. Really cool Metroidvania made by a dude and his brother.

It was pretty good

 

I thought Borderlands was good (if often annoying) at its time until 3, which I think just felt horrifically outdated

 

I like 3 in short bursts. But it’s just so much and so monotonous

Pre-Sequel is great. 2 is the GOAT. 1 is ok and 3 is meh, nothing wrong with it but it just exists.

If we are talking about a Brothers game, lets choose the best one. This game is fantastic.

 

Man such a good game. I ended my Xbox tenure on some great games before I sold my 360 which I definitely regret. Should have kept it. Brothers, Bastion, and SP: The Stick of Truth were three good games to end on before I turned it in.

 

I play through Bastion at least once a year. One of my favorite games of all time

 

I know TikTok has some big clickbait but these people were like meh every other game but high oh life is going to be game of the year and they showed that boring clip of the main character shooting a kid and they were like it’s so meta wow
