Player's Log: Live A Live

Completed it last night, took about 23 hours - and that was including doing everything in the final chapter. I'll keep it vague for spoiler purposes but I very much enjoyed the game. Not all the chapters are created equally, but I enjoyed pretty much each one. I wasn't super into how the final chapter was handled - it was pretty tedious if you wanted to experience everything - but it didn't affect how I felt about the ending.

Completed Horizon Forbidden West last night! Did a majority of side quests and other errands. Feel confident I saw what I needed to see and definitely enjoyed the game overall. Also most certainly the most gorgeous game I own on PS5. Some of the environments were exceptional. Also I was pretty op by the end. I had upgraded my purple armor three times and had a really nice plasma bow and purple bolt caster.

55 hours total playtime

 

Now I need to to circle back to Deathloop and Hades then wrap up Elden Ring. Then my backlog will be cleared out

 

God help me, I'm interested in this game. Looks like a fun trashy romp, although it's a little eye-rolling how clearly they play up the yuri angle.

the attack decay thing in multiversus is so genius especially because it stops a bunch of spam attacks and forces people to do combos

 

I finally started Stray

finally hit my skill ceiling on neon white. it's on an optional sidequest, but I don't think I'm physically leet enough to pull off the 3D platforming in this one anymore

Playing Far Cry 6, it’s interesting

 

It fully embraces the guerrilla warfare concept it played with from 3-5, sometimes a bit of the nose but it’s what it is. The full narrative is a bit much. Like part of the fun is that the main character is an empty vessel for you to commit Rambo level punishment without being dragged too deep into plot. It feels like a response to past criticism but it’s also trying to fix what isn’t broke and while I don’t mind it so far past the first act, it could’ve been better. Gus from BB is cartoonishly evil.

 

Far Cry 5 is kind of annoying me
