the quarry is a pretty dope game, also glad I was able to get Jacob killed early on in the game. toxic ass dude lmao

 

I kept Jacob alive for some reason and he does NOTHING past the first like 3 chapters of the game lol. Doesn’t even interact with the rest of the characters. They clearly want you to kill him earlier.

 

Just finished The Quarry today with my friends. Absolutely loved it. My only complaint is I wanted them to do more with the ending like hearing stories from the survivors and seeing details about the investigation and the police uncovering everything at the camp. Still an incredible game. Probably my favorite of the games Supermassive has made like this.

We had all of our characters alive until Chapter 9, we were doing so good until then. Jacob, Laura, Ryan, and Kaitlyn ended up dying. Then we replayed from Chapter 8 forward so we could save Laura and Ryan and get a better ending, which we did (the first playthrough the aiming controls seemed super sensitive which led to us missing the shot and getting Laura and Ryan killed so it felt like cheap deaths to us).

 

Dicey Dungeons. The descriptions that come with the trophies are worth putting in the extra effort to complete challenges, not to mention the setups required for some of these are fucking bonkers and it's worth it for that alone, like "throw twelve dice in a turn" haha what

Player's Log: Revelations: The Demon Slayer

Wrapped up this odd little GBC RPG. Probably took less than 10 hours, there wasn't an in-game timer. The demon recruiting/combining was not at all intuitive, and the controls were kinda whack - the character would sometimes move an extra tile without stopping even if you weren't moving the D-pad. Kinda made for a lot of annoying bumping into walls/missing doors lol

Music is awesome tho. Glad I finally got around to this one, tho I wouldn't play it again. There is a small post-game option to recruit uber powerful demons but that's mainly for the VS system.

I have little to no faith in it. I think the reception will be similar to that of Eastward.

I imagine the internet for like a week and a half will be enamored with “OMGZ KITTY GAME UwU” and then get bored with it.

 

I mean it’s essentially a feline walking simulator. And we all know the incessant bitching about Death Stranding so this will go over similarly.

Like you can’t even jump freely you need to wait for a prompt to appear.

I think people are projecting something onto this game that it isn’t.

 

I'll probably enjoy it, but the whole most wishlisted Steam game thing is insane.
