The main thing to take from it is that the Japanese video game crowd is willing to get an Xbox

 

I mean we are talking about 6000 units.

the Switch sold 5 million last year, which comes out to be around 100k per week.

 

It’s still a good sign for a platform that has largely struggled to enter the market.

 

I think it just means that Japan doesn’t care about any stationary console anymore

People keep forgetting Avowed exists, which is rude af to Obsidian. Like I was listening to the GameInformer podcast yesterday and they were doing predictions for the Xbox June showcase when one of them said they think we'll see gameplay of The Outer Worlds 2. Not just see it, but see gameplay. For a game that is likely not coming out until 2024 at the earliest. Unless Avowed got quietly cancelled or something (which that image above would contradict), that should be out first. But it was like the game had been completely forgotten.

That being said, Avowed has definitely not been canceled, will most likely release next year, and will almost certainly be shown in some form or another next month.

 

I would imagine Starfield will open the show, they'll have gameplay of Redfall and probably Avowed, probably announce what the first Halo Infinite DLC will be, probably a new Forza Motorsport announced, some third party stuff, bet they close with a Gears 6 reveal. Should be good, just sucks so much of it is so far away.

 

Gears version of Master Chief Collection will surely be shown too

 

Yeah that's been heavily rumored recently hasn't it? Seems like a safe bet.

 

The Coalition are reportedly working on a smaller, non-Gears title before Gears 6 to better familiarize themselves with UE5, or so the *rumors* suggest. I believe it.

There are a few other titles I wouldn’t be surprised to see:

- Compulsion’s new IP
- Josh Sawyer’s new IP
- A couple of global publishing games, they’re working with Stoic, Brass Lion, and some others

I definitely expect an update on Contraband, as well.

 

Zenimax Online has been working on their next tile after ESO for 3-4 years now too, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see a reveal there.

Machine Games have also been working on some sort of unannounced project since well before Indiana Jones was a thing. Could be Wolfenstein 3, or something else entirely
