I love 100 gecs and I love turn-based JRPGS that require grinding and i truly do not understand why and wouldnt recommend it to anyone lol

 

tdlyon never said he didn't like souls games per se, just that they might be too difficult for him

 

They need to make a straight up dark souls rip off rogue

You mean the harden mechanic?

Yeah that game is wild and has a lot of bullshit but it's the most valiant effort outside of maybe that one Space Souls like.

 

This comes out today and at first I thought it looks sick but the gameplay looks really shitty and floaty, it's unnerving for some reason. Also I guess it's gimmick is that not only are the levels randomly generated but the monsters are too? Like they are just random parts put together and never the same.

 

I’ve been switching off between ER and HFW. I like to listen to albums/podcasts when I game so I’ve been making HFW my game for that. Especially when I’m just exploring and doing side quests. The story is great though so I listen to that obviously. ER is too good to listen to music while playing though. It deserves my full attention and because of that I have been having a better time with HFW than I would be I think due to the fact I’m not trying to plow through it to wrap up ER. Just taking my time with both. Plus there doesn’t seem to be any other big AAA games coming out soon so I’m in no rush to finish either.

 

Can you link me to this? I’ve started Elden Ring but this is my first FromSoft game so I’m just kind of stuck because I have no idea what to do next lol.

tl;dr: thoroughly exploring The Weeping Peninsula and Limgrave (the starting area) should comfortably slingshot you through the game.

 

I platinumed Elden Ring last week. I wouldn’t say it’s easy, but it definitely gives you way more tools to overcome the challenge than any other From game.

Still, I think Consecrated Snowfield and the Haligtree are leagues harder than anything they’ve ever put in a game with the exception of The Ringed City DS3 DLC. There’s a massive spike in difficulty at the Mountaintop of Giants as well.

 

Elden Ring is tough but the really insurmountable difficulty spikes come at like the 100 hour mark so if you give up there, you still got your moneys worth.

 

I struggled with 2 things in Elden Ring:
The Elden Beast and Malenia.

edit: oh that was a lie, I struggled with 3 things:

the fucking jumping puzzle to meet the 3 Fingers lmao

 

I understand why everyone says Malenia is the hardest boss but I beat her in 3 tries. I was stuck on Malekith for like 2 days.

 

I just remembered I have Elden Ring but I’ve been too busy playing other games from Game Pass ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What's the last game you really hated?

Mine would be Dying Light 2. It abandoned all the personality of the first and made it some weird, boring game with a hud and UI from standard/popular open world games.

It was a massive disappointment.

 

Hate is such a strong word for me. I can't think of anything I've played recently that I've outright hated completely.

Like, the Larry games were atrocious in some regards, but there were also moments I legitimately enjoyed and I don't regret having played through them. Although maybe doing them all one after the other was a mistake.

Or Adr1ft, I hated some of the design decisions, but I did enjoy the atmosphere and the overall concept of the game.

I dunno, the last game I hated is either something so indie and low-budget that I don't even recall the name, or something from the far-flung past. Like Rascal. That was a terrible PlayStation game.

 

Bought Soundfall, it looks really awesome
