I've played a LOT of games this year and can't decide between God of War, Nier, Spider-Man or Dragon Quest XI.

 

The most time I've put into a game this year is Elite: Dangerous, but the best game I've played for the first time regardless of its release date is probably Rayman Legends.

Best 2019 game is Ace Combat 7. Flawless game design right there.

I've got the GOTY edition of Civ V laying around my house somewhere. But it's unusable because it's a physical copy that misses the point of being a physical copy. One of those discs that can only be used on steam. Not sure if they still sell those kinds of drm discs but I never understood the point of their existence in the first place.

I don’t think it’s been as good as the original, but of the three episodes I’ve played I’ve still enjoyed it

 

In my weekly Cold Steel 3 update that nobody cares about:

man, this game is just so damn good. I’m on chapter 4 now, and the story is just getting more and more interesting. I’m gonna be so sad when this ends, especially since CS4 doesn’t have a US release date yet

 

I didn’t find it quite as good, but it’s still really good. If you liked the first, then you’re pretty much guaranteed like the second. The relationship between the brothers is great, and I thought the game got better as it went on.
