It won't happen (but maybe because SE) but it'd be funny if Final Fantasy 7 Remake's 2 parts were split with part 1 on PS4 and part 2 on PS5

 

And even with those games, don't forget, now that cross-play is going to be more and more of a thing (especially for CoD, specifically, and also I imagine sports games will get in on it heavily too soon) there's even less of an incentive to main consoles. It's really going to solely be about first-party exclusives from here on out, which is why all of those big studio acquisitions Microsoft made last year were such good business strategy.
