They've still released 6 amazing games in 10 years

Rockstar North have released 2 games on the last 10 years, have over double the staff, and one of those games is RDR2 lol

 

I really hope Elden Ring is coming Spring 2020. So much hype for that game.

 

True, I don’t mind that about either of them

 

Okay, but those are mostly side-ass side projects, plus they have made a great one here and there

 

Neither do I, I think Pokémon is a formula that works really well and tbh I don't much want that series to be radically reinvented. I just want new monsters to catch and cool new regions to explore, really.

 

Would Game Freak even make good Pokémon games if it wasn't for Nintendo

 

It’s funny because I adore 2 and kinda hate 3 lol

 

I enjoy them all but 2 is probably my least favorite. Either 2 or DeS.

 

2 is the worst but it's still good

 

A lot of studio wish their best game was DS2

 

Yeah this is pretty much exactly how I feel also.

 

DS2 has the best PVP and really all I actually want is a PVP-only DS game. I’m a very different DS fan from you guys.

 

DS2 has some of the coolest zones in the whole franchise but some of the boss encounters are a bit frustrating in a bad way and also there's almost no logic to the way the world is laid out lol.

 

Bloodborne > DS3 > Sekiro > DS > DeS > DS2

 

I think I'd flip Sekiro and DS3 but other than that I feel like I agree. But DeS and DS2 could swap for me also depending on my mood.

I do think on balance DS3 is the best of the Dark Souls trilogy.

 

I like DS2 more because PVP but I personally think DS1 is their magnum opus still

 

It was one of the coolest fucking games of that generation

 

Yeah I realise my 3 favourites are this gen. DS1 is outstanding for a last gen game

 

Bloodborne is From's current masterpiece, imo. I love DS1 but Bloodborne is just a perfect confluence of excellent world design, pitch-perfect combat mechanics, systems and customization with the exact right level of depth, and the best lore/story they've ever had in a game. Not saying they'll never top Bloodborne but it's going to be nearly impossible to do so.

 

Give me Bloodborne 2

 

Or give me death RDR2

 

Bloodborne is also the only game from the current generation that I'd put in my top ten games of all time.

 

I honestly don't know what my top 10 of all time would even look like but Persona 5 is definitely top 5
