I promise I'll be better about not getting offended by others opinions here. I'm relatively new to this particular thread so I'm just now catching up to where everyone's humor lies and where the sarcasm is strongest.

In other news, Link's Awakening isn't on HBG shop (for cracked Switches) yet and I'm getting impatient.

You know I was thinking how it's really cool that FFVII Remake looks good and all but goddamn how much more exciting would it have been if they were doing the same thing but with FFVI instead.

8 deserves a remake more than 7

 

There's no need to remake 6, it's great as is and I like how it is. Remaking 7 is a more noble endeavor IMO, it could use the major change.

 

But I like the idea of a modern make of 6, I just don't need it

 

I feel like 8 with a better battle system/improving on junctions/not having enemies scale to impossible levels with you would be a top 3 FF

I know I'm the FF8 fanboy but that game would be absolutely beautiful remade like FF7 is

It definitely would, I think FF8 as a remake might be better than FF7 as a remake

BUT FF7 will move major #s and FF8 probably wouldn't move nearly as much

 

The story and setting is top tier IMO, like I mentioned, I think the battle system needs to be changed and it would be really really good

Imagining some of those places in FF8 with the FF7 remake graphics, it would be wild

 

Oh for sure. It's the game the fanbase has the most nostalgia for and have been clamoring for. I don't blame them for picking 7 at all. I'm hoping that the FF8 remastered sales have been good, that they may consider doing it to 8 down the line

 

They need to do it to original NieR
