There's no winners here and its all around awful for every angle but it's just my belief that if you do horrible things, then horrible consequences usually come in all different forms. I'm trying to sympathize with Alec but he did terrible things that most people don't do, I get he was mentally ill/had a lot of demons which I have compassion for but not all mentally ill with bad histories people are anywhere near as abusive (if at all) as Zoe claimed him to be. It's gonna sound harsh but, you reap what you sow, my heart DOES go out to Zoe now because she is going to have a TRUCKload of guilt for a long time and I severely hope she gets the help she needs to deal with it.

I'm not trying to start debates here and please if anyone feels differently than this or think I should view it a different way I am all ears.

 

Alec clearly had a lot more going on then just mental illness. Unfortunately, sometimes abuse victims become abusers themselves.

 

For sure, and it's the thing of where it still doesnt justify his actions but it's understandable in a way how it did happen.

Yeah, when I read his sister's post, I immediately understood. I've seen this happen. What sucks is, as a victim of abuse, trying to shed his abusive behavior is in his own way trying to shed the control his abuser had or has over him.

Zoe had the right to speak out like she did and it's good that she did. It's just a shame it made Alec feel like he could never get better.

The people who are blaming her are just trying to fuel the perpetual hate train they've been on for years.

So it goes like this: Earlier this week, Zoe Quinn posted a Twitter thread stating that Alec Holowka, co-creator of Night In The Woods, was abusive to them. In the wake of this, the studio of the game severed ties with Alec and stood by Zoe. Today, his sister posted a tweet that he basically killed himself, along with that he himself was a victim of abuse and tried to get help/counseling. There was an immediate backlash against Zoe, with people blaming them for causing Alec to kill himself, so they deleted their social media.

 

That seems to be the general consensus. His sister didn’t outwardly state it but it was implied that he did kill himself.

 

I was typing up a response but you were much more succinct. ^This is pretty much what happened.

 

Well that’s awful all round. I can’t stand when random folk on social media get involved either. It’s sad that in this day and age people deem that kind of thing necessary.

I would disagree, But I am one person.

 

The Alex/Zoe situation was something that absolutely should've been brought to light. Her story did not deserve to be buried, he did terrible things to others due to the fact that he was a victim of abuse and that is not okay on either side of it. Whether or not getting help in more recent years was a thing, those that were aware and swept it under the rug should've been addressing it and pushing him to get help while he hurt people. Including family members that recognized his issues. He lost his job and his public image was changed, so he takes his own life. Very sad for his family and friends, but also causes more harm now to his victims who will be blamed and his family who will also feel guilt.

This is why complicity is no longer an option. These are the dead ends those paths lead to. I hope Zoe is able to move forward from her guilt and that people stop being pieces of shit on twitter. I hope twitter stops being an un-flushable toilet some day too.

 

Apparently it’s not even all consoles. Some ps4 it’s fine on, others it shits the bed on.

Just got to fountainhead palace in Sekiro. This game is so good, and I’m in awe of myself I made it this far. It’s very rewarding if you stick with it

 

I really couldn’t stick with it. It’s still on my hard drive but I’m just so...so bad at it. To the point where I derive literally zero enjoyment from it.

 

There’s a lot of videos on YouTube that are very helpful with the mini bosses/bosses.
