I assumed that one would be leading, but didn’t expect it to be that one

Is The Last of Us 2 really being hyped as a release day game? I figured they would have a better exclusive coming with the PS5

 

All the rumors say it’s coming out on ps4 in February and will be ported to ps5 at some point nothing says it will be a launch day title

I think the better poll is Scaret & gamepass vs PS5 and whatever PlayStation has to compete

 

It’s just comparing the platform’s heavy hitters I guess. The Last of Us 2 gameplay so far looks fucking incredible. The original was excellent and has to date been one of the best stories in any game I’ve played. No game has come even remotely close to matching the emotional response I got from that. I think it’s absolutely a stellar release day game.

The gameplay vids for 2 have been out a hell of a lot longer than the CG trailer for Halo, in fairness. But I know I’ll be going the Sony route. Lost interest in Halo many games back. In terms of exclusives, there’s next to nothing the Xbox has that peaks my interest. The whole being able to play games across PC and console is great, but irrelevant to me as I don’t play PC.

 

Halo definitely did take a dive after Halo: Reach (I hated the campaign in that game, but multiplayer was fun as hell still). I feel like a lot of the players who lean multiplayer will go with Xbox/PC, and the players who prefer mostly solo games will go to PlayStation since they (as of now) have the stronger selection. Not to say there are no multiplayer PlayStation gamers, but pretty much all my friends who own PS are strictly solo gamers or just buy sports games to play on their own on PlayStation cause they’ve always owned a PlayStation.

Hard to beat $15 a month for immediate access to Microsoft studio games on Xbox/PC, a myriad of other games, and Xbox live though. When Xbox live and game pass would normally be at least $20 total. I personally never plan on going PC, but it’s nice to know that I have the option if my Xbox died or something

my wife bought CTR bec it was a childhood game for her and holy fuck this game is hard. struggled so hard to get 1st in the 2nd map

I still don’t think TLOU was as amazing and groundbreaking as it’s hailed to be

Story is good but that combat and gameplay sucked

 

TLOU was incredible, in every regard. Especially the 60fps version on the PS4. Like yeah, it's a little clunky but that way it actually makes you play and feel a certain way.
If it played like COD all the tension would be gone.

I don’t want it to play like COD. Being clunky isn’t a good thing

 

I loved my first 3-4 hours with it. But after that it nose-dived for me and I found myself struggling to finish it.

 

I only owned a PS3 for a short period of time. It got bricked shortly after MGS4 came out.

When all the hype surrounding TLOU was at a fever pitch, and then the reviews came in I was extremely skeptical. Then MS were doing really questionable things with the XB1 launch so I went PS4 for this gen. Then TLOU remake came out, and it was so worthy of the hype imo. The combat can be a tad clunky at times, but the level design/story/atmosphere was 10/10 imo.

 

I'm contemplating picking up The Handsome Collection because I played BL2 on PS3 and I want to play the new DLC.

 

I have no fucking clue where to go in Bloodstained. I feel like I've touched every room and can't make any progress. Worst part of these types of games.

 

I've startes The Last of Us a couple of times and for whatever reason never got very far. Think I just need to play it on the easiest difficulty to finish it. I don't enjoy/suck at stealth.

 

Exactly same for me. Not sure why I can never get through it.
