Square's Avengers game looks shockingly ugly for a game launching in the last year of a console generation. MUA3 >>>>>

I just watched the trailer out of curiousity. If it's supposed to be a throwback to bad licensed games on the PS2, then well done SE

 

It feels like they hung too close to the MCU look where it creates its own "RDJ uncanny valley"

 

The Captain American character model looks like garbage, literally he looks like a dork.

 

Square's avengers definitely seems like a big risk. They are banking on MCU fans but at the same time these aren't the MCU avengers.

MCU worked because they slowly let us build up and connect to the characters. If Avengers 1 had been the first title, it would've probably flopped hard.

A standalone Iron-man game where maybe a few of the other characters pop up would've been much better. It would've also enabled them to maybe build up some sort of MVGU cross studio collab.

 

To be fair, Iron Man Games haven’t exactly been a home run in the past.

 

also that one scene where tony and Bruce are talking felt like an exact rip off of a scene from endgame which was weird.

I’m sure it’s been a long time coming but still they seemed so similar.

 

Avengers game looks awesome to me

 

i like the avengers game but i also bought a ps4 because i was hyped for anthem so

 

It’s almost as if licensed games have been predominantly bad for as long as they have existed

 

Finally getting around to watching e3 stuff and the Xbox conference is so good.

 

There are exceptions of course. DEADPOOL, Wolverine...

 

I didn't know @oldjersey was a licensed game

There's so much on Gamepass I'll have to get it at some point. I'll probably wait until I'm in a huge gaming mood and then go ham on it for a few months.
