Yeah see this was my point of confusion at first as well. I initially thought they were saying the Midgar game alone was two discs, then I realized it made more sense if they were saying there would be two games. Still really want to see how they're going to handle the overworld if the second game is going to have everything after Midgar and only be on one disc though.

 

Just thought about this, wouldn't a logical time to end the first part be When Aeris gets killed?

 

I think it would but they said yesterday the first game is just Midgar. Unless they meant that it's only mostly Midgar.

 

Speeding off on the bike has got to be the end of the first part of the remake. It’s an easy cutoff point

I’m fighting Owl in Sekiro and needed a break. this game is going to ruin me before (read: if) I ever finish it.

 

Yeah I'd imagine the bike sequence will happen and then either end it there or cap it off with a new boss fight or something right after as the final boss of the game and then it'll be over.

 

Agreed. They have a lot to pack into that second game, if this is indeed the case.

Dude that is a lotttttttttttttttttttttttttttt of time to be spending in midgar, I can see it though, theres a lot they can add I guess?

I feel like Aeris is a very easy and even more dramatic cut off. Idk both of these will be good.

 

I would say its the first game they have a ton to pack. Overworld part is already long and laid out before them. It's the midgar stuff they gotta really create a ton more.

 

They've said they're adding quite a bit to Midgar and going more in depth than the original game/including more areas of Midgar

 

Yeah like they said that they've added so much to the Midgar section that it's big enough to be its own game, so I'm expecting like a 30-hour campaign in just Midgar alone plus side content.

 

Ohhhhhh okay so yeah its prob ending upon escaping midgar, im gonna have so many fucking mixed emotions when it comes to that part

 

I really wish they would clarify the release. If it’s $60 per “episode” that’s kind of fucked. But no way is Midgar one entire disc while “everything else” in the game can fit on another

 

bet you guys there won't be an open world in FFVII, it will be structured like FFXIII or something similar.

what if you are remaking a game that is already open world

 

Even better, that means an open world version already exists so you don't have to make another

 

Midgar is two discs

 

There’s a lot to add to it. I’d love to spend more time with the AVALANCHE members and learn a bit more about them, there’s lots of potential for cool new things

also why did Xbox BC Skate 1 and 3 but not Skate 2 SO RUDE

 

It’s 2 discs worth of content but ships on one. Lol
