everything xbox had on their show was already a known thing they didnt have any major surprises outside of keanu in cyberpunk 2077 and they didnt have any other competition with sony not being there and they shit the bed imo it was a ok show but nothing like last years where they crushed it

 

The Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield
Fans may be hungry for more details about The Elder Scrolls 6 or the upcoming, and somewhat mysterious, Starfield, but neither game is expected to be at E3. What we’ve seen so far is meant to be players a sense of the technology, but the more concrete information might have to wait until next year.

“It’s going to be a long time,” Bethesda’s Todd Howard said during a recent presentation at PAX. “It’s not something we’re going to be talking about at E3 — either of those games — this year. And so patience, please.”

 

Yeah, I gotta agree that it was bang average. Nothing too groundbreaking was shown aside from a few teasers that already leaked or have been shown elsewhere. The next gen reveal was cool, but not too wow-worthy. Like, yes we know it's going to be powerful. That's not that amazing.

I guess it's good that we've got confirmation of another year of current gen.

 

May not have been anything wow-worthy or anything that blew people away but Microsoft gets an A grade for the second year in a row for doing one thing that everyone takes for granted in their post-show hot takes: they focused on the games

 

Nintendo already destroyed this E3.

Id be very surprised if Silksong was shown off this year. Only disappointment from Microsoft was no Cuphead DLC release date.

 

Decided I'm going to watch the Bethesda conference and just drink a shitload of coffee in work. I'm more excited for the Square Enix conference though but it's on at 2am tomorrow here.

Not an awful conference by Microsoft, I guess. Next year they have to come out with some heavy hitting first party titles, right? I mean, this generation had next to nothing on that front.

Even if Project Scarlett is a decent machine, how many people are going to be excited to buy it if it’ll be nothing but third party titles along with more Halo/Gears/Forza.

I’m impressed with the way Microsoft has rebuilt the Xbox brand with the player first moves they’ve made, but next summer is their one and only chance to show people that they’re going to have a first party line up worthy of a killer new piece of hardware.
