They would not kill the PS4 though. The first year or more would be filled with cross-gen titles and the console itself will continue to be supported/sold for years after that as is Sony's custom.

It walks all over it in terms of performance but not in terms of games library. And the average consumer isn't going to drop $500 on a console that doesn't play new games/won't replace the cheaper model. It was always going to be a niche product and Microsoft was aware of that because they always said that's what it was.

If we were going to get another full year of this gen in 2020 I don't think there would be so many companies skipping E3 this year. Seems like they either can't or won't talk about games for consoles that haven't been announced yet.

Kinect 2 was pretty impressive. It mostly wasn’t used well and it should not have been forced on people, but technically impressive.

 

It'll probably come back if M$ gets in the VR game.
