My pro has a 1tb HDD. Does and external one make a difference or you just using it for storage? Fans almost silent and it might just be the load times for Anthem but I feel I might need an external one soon .

 

I have a 4tb external hooked up to my pro I have so many games I needed the extra storage especially with a couple games over 100gb

 

I'd recommend it. I went ahead and got a 2TB and so far its been running great

 

Now trying out For Honor

 

Whatd you get? I’m looking for one but not sure if I need a certain type or how to make any compatible if it’s not automatically compatible

From what i understand you dont need a certain type. You just have to go into the devices page and designate it for external storage

 

So if I get an external Hd I can still use my normal 2 TB one inside the PS4? Does it ask what memory I would like to use when saving or does it just know?

It defaults to installing games on the hard drive but thats it. Save files and stuff is still on the ps4

 

I need an external for mine also. Micromanaging that 500 GB is the dumbest ever
