Finally beat RDR2 campaign. 101 hours clocked and I am only at 87% complete. Will go back to mop-up after I take a break.

I'd also like to note I think the end of RDR2 is one of the most brilliant things I've seen in a game.

Yes, absolutely. I’m not even a big fan of strategy games but something about this one really does it for me. It’s more of a puzzle game, in some ways. I’m having a ton of fun digging into it and unlocking everything, there’s tons to do and a lot of different ways to approach the missions once you unlock some of the different mechs. Every run feels unique.

 

Rocket League now has cross-platform play

 

Being that you like SMB I would highly recommend his latest game The End is Nigh. Incredibly tough platformer with lots of secrets.

Oh, and Hollow Knight obviously

 

Binding of Isaac is basically the only game I care about anymore.

Transistor is good tho

 

I played the RE2 demo this past weekend, and it looks pretty good! it was gory and spooky and i surprisingly didn't back out from the scares. I don't think i'd pay full price for it tho.. they should do RE5 next :)

 

I got nowhere close to finishing the RE2 demo in the 30 min. time limit. I think it's def a day 1 buy for me though. The RE games that I love I tend to get a lot of replay value out of, this seems like it'll be right up there

 

i see a lot of praise for the RE2 remake but didn’t hear much for the remake of the first game. is it any good? my buddy has a copy and the only RE ive played is 7

Got a $35 e-Shop card as a late Christmas present from my wife’s family last night. Definitely getting Gris, but I can’t decide between Dead Cells and Guacamelee 2.

 

I would honestly put REmake in the top three of the series. It took everything that made the original great, trimmed the fat, and it improved a lot of the mechanics and story elements, particularly the voice acting, while adding new stuff to create a fully realized vision of what the original should’ve been. You can get it pretty cheap nowadays, there’s a physical combo release that comes with the remastered RE0 and it typically runs for $20-$30. Digitally, it’s about $20 but right now, it’s $10 for PS4.

 

I read somewhere recently that the RE devs consider REmake to be the best in the series, I still need to play it

 

17 years ago is when all the RE1 remake buzz was at haha.

 

RE2 hype has gotten me in the mood for the series. i think i'm finally going to play the copy of RE7 i've owned for a couple years now that i have a vr set.
