Yeah, sorry, it’s sometimes difficult to seperate the different strands a broader conversation here evolves into.

 

If EA had put out SOTC my opinion of it wouldn't change. Controls are crappy but the game is still fantastic. It wouldn't matter at all to me how put out the game

 

I can see how this game was groundbreaking in 05. I feel like if it were made today they should give at least some degree of player choice in the order you tackle the bosses, maybe release in batches of 2-3 and let you decide. That’d be cool. As it is the linearity of it kind of negates the point of it being an open world

 

I'm always only here for the Moose hot takes.



Also, I'm cool with DQ11, an 80+hour game to complete if you include post game, not making me look in every nook and cranny in the maps to find something that may help me.

 

also the main temple reminds me of wyrmrest temple in northrend in wow, surely they took inspiration from this for it

 

Soundtrack is trash though, doesn't ever deter me though.

 

I think SotC has inspired the indie Journey and its ilk and like I said earlier, Breath of the Wild too with its climbing/fatigue system

I used to not understand why people would complain about games being too easy, but after parts of SOTC and stuff more like Kirby Star Allies, I see it. I don't like feeling like I'm just going through the motions.

Does anyone else remember Eternal Sonata? That game is underrated. I want it to come to Switch or get one of those backwards compatible HD upgrades for One X.
