About 20 hours in Final Fantasy XIII so far. I know people hate it because of the linearity but I don't mind it so much. I enjoy the paradigm system a lot.

What I find pretty insane is that it's a better looking game than FFXV and holds up pretty well against the FFVII remake. FFXV is a good looking game but there's something very flat about the way it looks in comparison.

 

FFXV does look flat. It made me think that the One X update wasn't working. It's a weird looking game.

 

FFXV is just bad in general lol

The draw distance is pretty nice though

 

I played Anno 1800 until 4am last night the quar is getting to me

 

Yeah, I don't know why it looks so flat. FFXIII's art direction and colors pop. Every scene and level in that game is lit in just the right way to make it look really good, even all these years later.

I like the main characters in XV but its open world is pretty boring and pointless. If you do play it, don't bother staying in the open world for too long. Move on with the story because the busy work never ends. I think it's why I've had a far more favorable reaction to XIII's linearity.

 

FFXV has the most insufferable cast of main characters in a game ever lol

I played Far Cry 3 once. Felt like shooting every character in that game, including Jason. Lol.
