Impossible to convince any of my friends to play the Witcher although they played 100s of hours of Skyrim lol.

Witcher does literally everything better in my opinion. The only thing that might turn people off is that you play as a predefined character and can't create your own hero. Other than that, the writing, the story, the graphics, the moment-to-moment gameplay, the exploration. All of it better than Skyrim.

Witcher was probably the first game that I never fast traveled in and it was one of the most gratifying games I've ever played. Definitely in my top 5 of all time

 

Sonic's had such a bad career, how is the worst still ahead?

 

I don’t know if I could call 4 a major fuck up. Now to be fair though, I didn’t like the emphasis on base building, how they handled the SPECIAL system, or the forced narrative. It’s still a fun game with those faults though.

The game itself is a matter of discussion I think, I had fun with it and all, but what I’m referring to is the PR fuck ups. That’s when they started the whole “of course its broken it’s way too awesome not to be broken” narrative etc.

 

school is out for the year so time to play all the GAMESSSS

 

I’m replaying Witcher 3 right now and this is just not true. It’s better in some regards, worse in others. I’d take skyrim

 

The one thing that bugged me about Witcher was how I felt like I missed out on so much before with the story and it was hard to understand the relationships between like Yennifer or Trish for example.

 

I think Witcher 3 is vastly superior in every way, so we're just going to disagree on this lol

 

yeah, definitely glad I played 1 & 2 before starting 3. the backstories add a lot. also agree that witcher 3 is better than skyrim in basically every way, but skyrim is a perfectly good game.

 

Skyrim is definitely still a good game, I just think Witcher 3 is western Action RPGs at their best

Agreed. I haven't played GOW or RDRII yet, so my selections would be scoffed at most likely.
