Absolute peak bullshit on Fortnite right now. Just spawned without an aiming reticle for some reason? Must have been a bug or a glitch or something. Still made it to about 40th, but completely wasted an awesome shotgun I found haha.

Golf Story is a delightful RPG — and the golfing isn’t bad, either

I can't wait to start it. I'm trying to get through I am Setsuna first but I'm not sure I'll be able to hold off as Setsuna is just okay maybe halfway through or so.

Downloaded Metal Gear Solid V because it was free this month. If I really hated the prologue, should I keep playing?

 

I'm pretty excited for it. Seems Portal like, which is a big plus for me!

 

Yes, the prologue is a totally different type of game.

 

The prologue was pretty much the only part I liked, haha.

The rest is completely different though so yeah, give the rest a shot.

 

That was such a perfect prologue (if you like that thing, I totally get why someone wouldn't)

Time to get Cuphead

 

i caved in and started buying parts for my ryzen build

 

if anyone wants to play the battlefront beta on pc, i got a promo code with my pre-order. the beta doesn't go live to the public until this weekend i think

On the last world of Cuphead, game continues to be incredible. The boss design is just superb - easily recognizable patterns that still remain tough, challenging and most importantly fun, and the actual art design of the bosses is of course impeccable. I've been taking it slowly because I just don't want it to end. Wonderful game.

Additionally, dug into Battle Chasers a bit last night (oh why do I keep starting up games I should just finish up the ones I'm already playing goddamnit me). It's really neat so far - as someone who really enjoyed what little Battle Chasers there was as a kid it's kind of surreal to have these characters back in some form (and in such a gorgeous, well animated form). The gameplay is real good so far - the battle system is excellent, classic turn based JRPG style but with some neat twists that add a fair bit of strategy, the dungeons have been fun with enjoyable little gimmick rooms and I've enjoyed the writing and the lore a fair bit so far. Excited to play more.

 

I can make room for one more game I suppose

 

Did they improve the defense? I've felt like defense for the last 3 games is slow and unresponsive. AI can just run circles around you and your defender is slow at responding to your joystick input. First year I'm not buying it because I've been so annoyed that I only played 2k17 maybe 5 times.

 

What would you compare SV to? Trying to decide if I should get that. It has universal praise, but is it just a farming simulator? Don’t quite understand its appeal.
