Oh my god. Don’t get me started on the xbone dashboard. It’s basically incomprehensible. I’ve been an Xbox guy since day 1, and I still love their controllers, but they’ve had some serious missteps in recent history. Honestly, right now I want a Switch more than anything

 

What does it do?

 

I’m the exact same! Loathed the PS3. I thought I’d die before I swapped back. That promptly changed. But I do really miss the 360 controllers.

 

Isn't it just the demo atm? Planning on picking it up next week tho.

 

I thought it came out yesterday? Maybe just review copies.

Man Fortnite is fun, but man is it frustrating when you get someone down to 3HP and they just turn around and shoot you. First game finished 31 with 2 kills.

 

I think it reduces boss damage 25%-50% and also slows the speed down a bit. Not 100% sure tbh, but I've done a few on Simple and have found them still a challenge without making me throw a controller. Was able to get through them in 4-5 tries or so.

 

Is this free? I remember seeing something about that..

 

Yep. On all platforms.

 

I tested it out on one boss and it removed the third phase/form for them - they just stayed in the second longer instead.

 

It'll be GWG in 2 years I'm sure

 

Just jumped on my Xbox for the first time in ages to get Cuphead and I have a 3.5Gb update. :(

Played through Steamworld Dig 2 over the last two days. Really enjoyed it.

 

Okay fortnite is really fun!

I had a handful of bad games to start but then I had a couple in a row where I did really well.

One time I flew to the top of a hill in the beginning and there was a house there. Found a gun and made a home of sorts in the attic until the storm forced me out. I was 24th place that game. Not too bad.

Another, I landed in the fortress in the middle of the woods area (I can't remember what it's called now). One other person had also parachuted into that spot and we scrambled for the gun in the center of the room. I got it and killed that person and then looted the rest of that awesome fortress until the storm forced me out. Ended up coming in 3rd that game! Best I've done so far. This game is awesome

 

Why is the sensitivity x1000 for sniper rifles? haha

 

I’m on Forza 7. I got the ultimate edition so I’ve been playing since Thursday night. Im already up to like 30 hours of time played lol

 

I was part of the last 10 in Fortnite with almost full health only to be killed in one shot by some guy that was far away

I don't think I like Battle Royal

 

Cuphead is very unforgiving, lol.

 

Got Rise of the Tomb Raider 20 Year Celebration (includes Season Pass) for 24 bucks on Steam. A bit higher than what I usually pay for a game, but I finally have a job now and I want to play it right away, so...

Really weird, I had to set it to super low settings to get past the first cutscene, even the first few seconds of falling snow over a black screen were too much. But I set everything back to normal afterward and it runs fine on actual gameplay, cutscenes just take a bit to load.

 

I hate that I have a job right now. So many great games to play, with so little free time :(

Cuphead is absolutely incredible. It is everything I could've wanted that game to be. I remember playing Gunstar Heroes as a kid with my mates in between the hours spent watching classic cartoons on Cartoon Network. This is that most special of crossovers that you just never think would be a part of your life.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is also a fun introduction to the world of Battle Royale games for me. I'm still waiting on PU:BG to really get my teeth in to the genre, but I enjoyed my handful of games on Fortnite. My favourite game was where I placed at #7 with the stupidest of strategies:

1. Land in the woods
2. Chop down all the trees to hoard up on wood
3. Build a gigantic ramp that extends far above the highest mountain or hill
4. Dance on ramp and just build more platforms whenever the storm shrinks

Strategy isn't flawless by any means. Turns out that wood is super weak and a couple of shots break it, causing you to fall for about 10 seconds to your doom. Still, placing #7 without firing a single shot is good going I think...

The game is a bit buggy for my liking at the moment and I wish there were some achievements or sense of progression. It's early days, so hopefully these things are on the way but at the moment it just feels like a bit of a time sink.

 

Solo on Fortnite hasn't had shown much success for me, but squad with my friends has been so fun. We've gotten top five squad finishes multiple times, but still no win.

The best has been us trying to make it inside the storm because we waited too long to start moving. One of my friends downed in the storm about ten feet out and had to crawl to get revived. All while the rest of us getting shot at because people saw us running in haha
