Man, Amensia sounds awesome. Already own PP digitally but rad others get to play it.

 

You melee with the axe. There isn't melee with the guns.

The aiming is relative to the rarity of your gun. A gun will always aim better and do more damaged if it has a coloured background in the item menu. From my understanding, a green background is good, a blue is better, the purple is wicked and the gold/orange is the best. Trying to shoot somebody with a gun without a coloured item background will yield shite results.

 

Alright it's done, much earlier than expected

 

I've managed to get 1st twice, and 2nd just - both solo.

The squad games are a different beast entirely. You have to plan, share loot with friends, you can get downed and be revived instead of dying immediately, etc. Had so much fun playing squads with my mates, sneaking through parks and hiding in attics together. Great game. I'm hooked.

 

Those PS+ games!!!! Damn! Yes!

Played through most of Second Son this month. It was okay, didn't catch me as much as the first one, which was the last one I played. Graphics were top notch though, especially in Neon mode. 7/10.

 

New Ys game got a 9.5 on Polygon. HMMMMM...

On the melee thing: how come the little combat log says stuff that inpliws that someone was beaten to death with one of the guns? Just colorful language I guess?

 

I still haven't played a full MGS game (will change that in Oct)

 

I've never witnessed anything like that, or done it! Maybe if it runs out of ammo you do? I didn't see an button dedicated to it on the control scheme.

MGSV is the best MGS game. It's not the best interactive MGS anime, but the best game regardless.

 

I'm not familiar with the series. How does it play?

 

These days it's an Action RPG

 

It doesn't feel like a Metal Gear game at all to me. Didn't like the story and the stealth felt like it was missing. Making it open world really hindered the game for me.

 

Yeah I can see why people say that, hence my clarification

 

I don't really want to be the one testing that theory haha!

I'll probably jump into this around the holidays. I'm hammered with school right now and don't want to dive into an RPG.

 

Yeah, I'm still slowly going through it but it seems like it's going to be fairly lengthy - eyeballing the story progression trophies I'm probably about 1/3 done in a little under 20 hours.
