Not a fan of the story?

 

It's pretty good, I just don't think it's video games' Grapes of Wrath

 

Only reason I want Knack 2 is for the inevitable dunkey video

 

I hope IGN doesn't give it a good review then or he'll be talking about video game payola for 15 minutes even though he works for Amazon

 

I forgot to give a mini review on life is strange.

It was a solid game and I genuinely loved the story up until the 5th episode. It got twin peaks weird and it got super redundant. I also watch both endings and one ending felt way more complete than the other.

basically enjoyed it and will eventually play prequel in two years.

 

I agree on the story. I'm not sure any time travel story ever really worked out.

 

I love Gone Home but I know it's kinda polarizing on the internet. I don't want to get into the criticisms because it might kinda spoil things, but imo definitely give it a shot, it's only 2-3 hours long.

 

Oh, I've played it numerous times and love it! I just pay zero attention to what's been said about it so wasn't sure. I know it's one of the prime example of "walking sim" that people like to talk about but that's about it.

 

gotcha, yeah. that's mostly it, people just disparage "walking sims" in general. glad you like it!

on an unrelated note, i finished uncharted 4 last night and it was awesome, especially towards the end. i thought the ending itself was super well done too, with the epilogue. fantastic way to tie things up. best game of the series for sure.

Same. I like all the ones I've played. Although I think the name walking sim is stupid.

 

I also think Gone Home is maybe the best one, unless you count Life Is Strange which I don't

 

Just played forza 5. Thanks XBOX Gold Membership. Such a great game.

 

It's a beautiful game, even with Forza 6 and Forza Horizon 3 being out. A must play for anyone.

 

I got it for free when I bought my Xbox and I liked how it plays but the progressions in 5 is bad imo. I heard it is an outlier in that way though.

 

I'll have to check the newer games out. This is my first racing game ever and I'm starting to get into nice cars now haha.

@The Lucky Moose off topic but I just looked at your profile. Were you born in the Netherlands or do you just live there? I'm half Dutch and my most recent ex gf was from Rijswijk originally, I'm pretty sure. We were supposed to move there buuuut that didn't happen...hence the whole "ex" thing, but it's my dream to visit someday.

 

I live there. Both of my parents are Swiss, and I was born in Switzerland and lived there for several years, but I've spent more years in the Netherlands and my dad (even though he is Swiss) was born and raised in the Netherlands (his parents were Swiss immigrants and there is no citizenship at birth rule here), so in most ways he's more Dutch than anything. My mom is Swiss as fuck though. So it's a whole thing, haha. I'm sorry it did not work out for you man. You should definitely visit one day if you have the opportunity, I'd say it's a country worth seeing even beyond Amsterdam.

 

Haha, right on. That's awesome dude. I definitely plan on doing a pretty big European tour once I finish college and will most certainly visit the Netherlands. That and Germany are top priority.
