the ending of episode 2 and 3 have actually been incredible to watch.

I also love looking for these optional photos.

 

The thing I have encountered with the "choose your own adventure" games is that you either love them or you hate them. I think if you have played some of the Telltale Games and find them boring then you might not like Life Is Strange and vice versa. I would also say that Life is Strange takes the Telltale mechanic and turns it up.

 

Just went back to playing some Witcher 3 last night, felt good to make some progress as I haven't played it in two months. Playing on the Xbox One, has anyone noticed that the frame rate dips when in busy towns/cities? Everywhere else is fine but just very busy cities (Novigrad for example) seems to drop it a bit.

 

Yeah, same on PS4. The weak CPUs that these consoles have can't handle all the ai and shit going on.

 

That's part of it but a lot of games are also terribly unoptimized

 

Ah right that makes sense, it's not that bad but it's noticeable enough to see some stuttering. At least it's not so bad that it's unplayable and the developers did such a wonderful job considering how much budget they had. Game is an absolute masterpiece and I'm glad I'm playing it again

 

there's a lot more incidental stuff than in the telltale games too

 

My co-workers are convincing me to buy Destiny 2 because they got a raid group of 3 and they want me to be the 4th.

why are my co-workers so awesome and terrible at the same time.

Haha. Literally me. I need to get up for school and then I got a damn GiantBomb notification on my phone. I can't watch the whole thing tho, gotta sleep. Also, I want to punch Ben's voice in the balls

 

Ben is pretty funny, he's a good hire. I also like that he's basically old school Giant Bomb, having been an intern an so on.

 

I get it, and I don't dislike him as a person. His voice just grinds my gears. My dream team would be the East Coast crew sans Alex plus Jeff. ...and Patrick...and Brad....and Drew hehe

 

I feel bad. Once Ryan died I had a hard time listening for a good while and basically missed the whole era with Austin. Then I finally decided to get back into it and it was literally his last week :/

 

You missed a lot more than Austin then, he was only there for like five minutes.

I miss Ryan. I listen to a lot of old Bombcasts and the chemistry between him and Jeff is wild.

 

Nobody made Jeff laugh like Ryan. I love Jeff but he's definitely changed a lot since Ryan's death. I don't mean that in a bad way necessarily but it's clear how much it affected him.

 

True. It's all very sad if you think about it for too long.

 

Has anyone here played Tacoma? I like Gone Home a lot (though I don't agree with some of the consensus on it), but the fact that Tacoma is on a space station and has this AR theme and so on really turns me off.

 

I'm super interested too but it'll likely be awhile before I play.

What's the general consensus of Gone Home?

 

That the story is AMAZING... even though it's just an episode of a late 90s CW show
